I am building the top in Hard Maple and the base in Soft Maple.

The Plane on top is a #4 just to give some scale, Lee Valley Tail Vise Screw, Lie Nielsen Bench Dogs. I am using the Workbench Book and the Fine Woodworking
MAgazine #56 as a reference, particularly the Frank Klauzs Work Bench with my own adjustments....

			<title><![CDATA[ My  recently completed bench ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ This bench is my first &quot;real&quot; bench. The top is made out of 12/4 white oak and walnut that has been in my shop for several years. I ended up using more walnut then I had originally planned because several of the oak timbers had some internal checking after they were milled that i did not want in the bench.<br>

I used Titebond II as the glue, I screwed them together down the center line, and just clamped the edges between the 4x4s... ]]></description>

If you click on the button &quot;image&quot; on the left of the posting screen there's a place to do that. Once that comes up you have a request for the actual URL of the image itself. In other words it appears the image needs to be on a website itself, and rather then the user uploading the image to the forum, the forum... ]]></description>
